The SImp Registry

SImp /sɪmp/ noun. A company that renamed its AI to SI without being legally required to.

That's the entire technology behind the rebrand. Press it. It works on this whole page.

On September 29, 2026, the President signed an executive order replacing “artificial intelligence” with “Super Intelligence” across the federal government. To explain why, he said: “The use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake.”

Agencies had no choice. Private companies were never required to change a thing. A few did it anyway, for free. We maintain a detailed list of them, with receipts for every claim.

The SImps

Companies that switched voluntarily, in the order they caved. Day 0 is the day the order was signed. It only ever applied to federal agencies. These folks just couldn't wait.

  1. Day 5 Sunday, Oct 4

Elon Musk, replying to a fan on X: “Yes, we will make that change.” Then, in another post:

“No more AI. SI. It's better.”
    Changed
One letter, announced in a reply. No date given.
    Didn't change
The website and social accounts, that same day. And spacexsi.com was still listed for sale. Nobody grabbed the domain first.
    Bonus
At the White House on Sept 29 he caught himself mid-sentence: “SI, pardon me.” The SpaceXAI name itself only dates from July.

  2. Day 9 Thursday, Oct 8

No announcement. The @Tesla_AI account on X just became @TeslaSI one evening, keeping all 511,000 followers. Two days later, Musk went recruiting:

“Join @TeslaSI if you're interested in solving generalized real-world super intelligence!”
    Changed
The handle, and the display name, which now reads “Tesla Super Intelligence.” The old handle no longer works.
    Didn't change
Nothing official was said. No press release, no blog post. Just vibes.
    Bonus
It actually shipped before SpaceXSI, which at this update is still a promise.

  3. Day 10 Friday, Oct 9

Marc Benioff, Salesforce CEO, announcing on X that AIForce is “officially SIForce”:

“The era of Super Intelligence is here.”
    Changed
The name of Salesforce's AI agent platform. Salesforce itself is still Salesforce. For now.
    Didn't change
Features, availability or pricing, as far as anyone can tell. The post didn't mention any of them.
    Bonus
AIForce was launched at Dreamforce on Sept 15. The name lasted 24 days.

Receipts: Crypto Briefing, The News, The Next Web

Elon Musk accounts for two of the three entries. He's carrying this list.

The conscripts

Federal agencies didn't choose this. The order told them to. We don't laugh at hostages. Okay, maybe a little.

Homeland Security

Went all in. The DHS website now lists a “Chief SI Officer,” an “SI Governance Board,” and a document titled, word for word:

“Super Intelligence (previously Artificial Intelligence) Strategy”

Other headlines include “Generative SI for the DHS Workforce” and “HSI Uses SI to Investigate Heinous Crimes.” A note says AI was replaced “where appropriate.” The links still point to /ai/using-ai-to-secure-the-homeland. Every heading changed. Not one URL did.

State Department

Its international organizations bureau emailed staff a memo titled “Change in Nomenclature AI to SI” on September 23. That's six days before the order was signed. Technically a conscript. Spiritually a volunteer.

The Super Intelligence Force

A brand-new task force on SI risks, announced on Truth Social on October 4 and chaired by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. Its first report is due in 120 days. The name was ready on day one. The details remain pending.

SI-curious

Haven't renamed anything. Just can't stop saying it.

“THE ENEMY!”

That's how the White House now regards anyone who still says “Artificial Intelligence,” according to the President on Truth Social. The enemies so far:

Rebrand anything

Same technology the pros use. Type any name and we'll make it super intelligent.

Meanwhile, in Slovenia

.si is Slovenia's country domain. Since the President's UN speech in late September, people have registered about 22,800 of them. Daily sign-ups peaked around 5,300, up from roughly 520 a day before. This site is one of them. Hvala, Slovenija. 🇸🇮

Other names floated in the President's Truth Social polls included “superior intelligence,” “extreme intelligence” and “supreme intelligence.” Spell extreme the American way and you get XI, which, diplomatically speaking, was taken.
